What the next BIG thing in Second Life? Bouncing boobs…
You’d be mistaken if you thought that jiggling, gravity defying virtual knockers are the domain of adolescent fantasists (well, slightly anyway). In Second Life, however, female users are flocking to a new virtual store selling a combination of something called “flexi prims” – building blocks which bend to physical forces, such as gravity – and “sculpties” which are used to simulate organic shapes.
Putting these together, Second Life store owner Raven Ivanova is selling the virtual world’s most realistic sets of funbags – both au naturale and contained within in outfits such as bikinis, lingerie and dresses. As you can see from the video, these are a marked improvement from the twin static globes stuck immovably to the front of ordinary Second Life avatars.
[S]o far no one has told me that they find the breasts vulgar or sexist," Raven told New World Notes."My intention is to provide women with the option to make their avatar a bit more realistic, by mimicking the motion of real breasts. It's the same reason why I and other SL creators make realistic skins. We are trying to reproduce reality."
And it’s earning a fair bit of cash too – a set of wobbling jubblies confined to an outfit sell for between L$400 – 600 (roughly $2000 of equivalent real money).
There’s a bit of question mark on the future horzizon of these ground breaking cans though – the Havok 4 Physic Engine is due to be introduced in a future update and it isn’t yet know how this new technology will react to it. Could be unspeakably disastrous.Source

Actually, there are several settings. One, "jiggle", takes effect only when your torso moves. Others are designed for use with animations, and, as anon said, has them continuously in motion.

"Seen these things in action personally and they move regardless of a person standing still or not."
Actually they do work as described. They move when the avi moves and stop moving when avi stops.
They also come with options for the user to make them bounce *constantly*, for use with AO's, which probably accounts for the above quote.

I'm betting the 2000 USD figure came from an estimate of total sales that appeared in a New World Notes article about Smashing Prims.
There are at least a dozen prim breast sellers in Second Life, and at least one other has scripted breasts that jiggle. A couple of things make Smashing Prims special:
First, Ms. Ivanova is catering to women who don't necessarily want enormous breasts--though the prim breasts can be edited if you're so inclined.
Second, she sells really nice clothing to go with the breasts. With all due respect to other prim breast makers, the clothing they've made to go with the breasts is fairly simple. Prim breast wearers are for the most part cut off from the vast world of SL fashion, so anyone who lets you have the breasts you want AND lovely clothing for them is going to do quite well.

"L$400~600 is about $2.50 USD."
Thanks for pointing that out anon - I'm not a Second Life player but I thought that $2000 was a bit of a wild figure. Still, it came from a Second Life blog so I thought they'd have it sorted.

ROFL.

L$400~600 is about $2.50 USD. Also the physics behind the script are not perfect. Seen these things in action personally and they move regardless of a person standing still or not. The script in them needs work and therefor are only really any good for when a person's dancing about or walking. And knowing Linden Labs? Havok 4 *will* break everything... with impunity.
